Reserve cask released by Whiskyzone.de Mackmyra 7 year old Single Cask 2010/2017 is a bottling of a 30-liters ex-bourbon cask with cask number 5170, bottled exclusively for Whiskyzone.de. Limited to 48 bottles. Ex-bourbon maturation in such small casks makes the whisky mature faster adding flavour to the spirit. The aroma shows complex notes of vanilla and fresh fruits, spicy ectones and some tobacco. In addition to the notes of vanilla, the flavor also contains herbs, lots of fruit and roasted oak. Mackmyra Single Cask 2010/2017 is non-coloured and not chill filtered at an ABV of 49.9%. Notes according to Whiskyzone.de: Nose: Soft vanilla and floral, mineral tones with fruits like oranges and ripe apples. Behind it you can find honey, oak and nutmeg. Taste: Complex and plump on the tongue. The floral and fruity tone quickly turns into herbal tones and vanilla. Then spicy with oak and spices. Finish: Long with a mixture of fruit and wood. Colour: Amber.
