Moment 22 is a reborn reincarnation of the Preludium series, taken from our whisky archives and transferred to 30-litre Swedish oak casks for another 3.5 years of final aging. The 30 litre casks were filled with the contents of the 1000 last remaining bottles of Preludium. They have also used a number of bottles of Privus. Officially presented on May 7 for Germany and should have been presented May 8 för Sweden, but Systemboalgets restrictions under Corona delayed the release in Sweden until August 6. 900 bottles were sold in Sweden, 100 each in Germany and England. Notes according to Mackmyra: Nose: An oily, buttery and berrylike aroma with rounded hints of oak. Round tar with a certain saltiness followed by vanilla, dried fruit, arrack, chocolate, pear caramel, almond paste and ginger. Herbs, minerals and spices along with tobacco leaves, anise, hay and white pepper. Taste: Fruity, slightly vinous, tarry and spicy. Spicy, herby and light smoky notes in a background of rounded Oloroso. Vanilla with hints of oak, caramel and saltiness. Roquefort cheese with a clear mineral element. The texture is oily and full. Finish: Spicy with oak, light peat notes and a long, soft aftertaste of vanilla, ginger, anise and herbs, as well as dried fruit.
