Mackmyra Reserve Craft Beer Edition is a cooperation between Mackmyra and four smaller Swedish breweries. They got access to casks from Mackmyra that they could use to finish their beer, then the casks were returned to Mackmyra to be used for Mackmyra Reserve. Sotholmen Extra stout from Nynäshamns Ångbryggeri was matured in Ambassador casks (25% Swedish Oak, 75% American Oak) and holds an ABV of 7.0%. The character of the beer according to Mackmyra: Nuanced roasted scent with hints of pumpkin nickel, soy, coffee, dates, syrup and chocolate.
