Mackmyra Reserve Craft Beer Edition is a cooperation between Mackmyra and four smaller Swedish breweries. They got access to casks from Mackmyra that they could use to finish their beer, then the casks were returned to Mackmyra to be used for Mackmyra Reserve. The DIPA "Projekt 004" from Poppels was matured on casks of American white oak that had been saturated with Oloroso sherry. It was bottled at an ABV of 8.0%. The character of the beer according to Mackmyra: A real beer with extra everything. The beer has hops added twice with three different types of hops: Amarillo, Citra and Magnum. The strong hops are balanced by a plentiful malt body, which makes the beer, despite its strong character, felt as round and harmonious.
