Limited edition released in Europe in the autumn of 2017 and then released in Sweden in Januari of 2018. Svensk Rök - Amerikansk Ek is matured entirely on new American oak casks and has a smoky character inspired by teh Swedish tradition of flavouring and preserving food with juniper smoke. Notes according to Mackmyra: Nose: Smoke, spiciness, oak, fruits and herbs. Notes of peat, juniper, toasted oak and vanilla followed by a smoky and spicy aroma with saltiness, minerals, tobacco leaves, light tariness. Arrak treats, pear fudge, ginger and vanilla. Taste: Peat, juniper, salt, definitively more smoky than what the nose is implying. A pleasent oaky spciness with vanilla, toasted oak, pickled figs and pear fudge. The texture is medium thick with oaky chewy notes. Finish: Spicy, smoky and oaky with notes of tar, tobacco leaves, bright notes of pickled figs and pear fudge.
