After the success of the first release, the queues were almost hysterical when it was time to release the 4563 bottles that Systembolaget had purchased of Preludium:02. People started queuing at 7 in the morning, and in Valbo (closest Systembolaget to the distillery) there were over 100 people in line before 8.30. As the name implies, the whisky has it's taste from the Swedish oak. The base for Preludium:02 is from first-fill bourbon casks, but with the ambition to create a more distinct body, a lot of whisky matured in Swedish oak from Visingsö was added to dominate the character of the whisky. Notes according to Mackmyra: Nose: Fruity and intense with intense spiciness and tones of roasted casks. Taste: Fruity with spicy tones of cedar- and sandalwood and big notes of oak, honey oand dried fruit. Finish is rich and oaky with spicy herbal notes.
