A co-operation with Time to Rock Festival. Peated spirit from one of the last peated runs at Mackmyra Bruk. Notes according to Mackmyra: Nose: Vanilla and fruity citrus notes are dominant. The smokeyness is there as a round and welcoming veil in the glass. With more time to air you'll find banana and licorice root. Taste: The smoke is obvious in the taste and reminds you of a campfire. Fruity notes of pear and apple complement the sweeter citrus notes. Vanilla is in the base of the whisky and is always present. Finish: A warming finish where the smoke is dominant, now with a hint of burning juniper twigs. Pear remains for a long time and towards the end you also get spicy citrus notes. | |
