Part four in a trilogy (!) of whiskies aged in casks seasoned with Japanese green tea, in this case Sencha. Released at Mackmyradagen 2024, followed by information to all shareholders by email. Notes according to Mackmyra: Nose: The nose is fresh, floral and sweet. There are tart apples and gooseberries but also sweet fruits and vanilla. Many green elements in the form of herbs, tobacco leaves and hay are also there and they emerge more clearly as the whiskey is aerated. Taste: n the taste, the tea interacts with the whiskey in a nice way. Vanilla and yuzu are embraced by slightly bitter tea tones and greenery. Sweetness from dried fruit creates a full, slightly oily mouthfeel. Finish: The aftertaste is medium long with a clear tea character. Here the sweetness returns in the form of ripe pears and dried fruit. Overall, however, the finish is dominated by dried herbs, grass and hay.
