That Boutique-y Whisky Company release their third batch of Mackmyra, this time a 9 year old matured on a cask seasoned with Hojicha Green Tea. Notes according to Master of Malt: Nose: Waves of juicy pear and banana, backed by earthy notes of cigar box and a touch of petrichor. Palate: A delicate balance of tropical fruit, vanilla, and toasted coconut, with chilli flakes trailing in the background. Finish: Fresh fruit lingers beside butterscotch, more chilli, and a touch of ground ginger. | |
