Fusion is a mix of different types of casks. The whisky is between 5 and 19 years old. Before the bankruptcy they won a tender from Systembolaget regarding a release in the "Temporary Assortment". 33% Ex Amarone wine casks 500L 38% Ex Rotspon wine casks 225L 16% Ex Bourbon casks 200L 7% Oloroso casks 128-200L 6% New American oak casks 200L Notes: Nose: Round and warming with dark mature berries and fruits lika cherries, strawberries and plums. A creamy, almost buttery, vanilla with a hint of saltiness. Deep down in the glass you find a hint of citrus, coffee beans and sandel wood. Taste: An oily and soft mouthfeel where the vanilla and red berries, mostly cherries, dominate. Other sweet notes of dark chocolate and raisins appear, as does mild oriental spices. Finish: In the long finish, the red wine character dominates with notes of cherry, plums and dried fruit. A slight peppery note can also be found, as well as sweet chocolate, moving towards milk chocolate.
