Bar profile Emil Åreng and the restaurants Harlequin and Hunger & Törst in Umeå have created their own gin together with Mackmyra. The gin was casked in September, and resultet in no less than two different taste profiles, with the inventive name HarleGin. - the two gins are matured differently. One is matured in Oloroso sherry cask, and has a butterscotch like sweetness with notes of dried fruit. The other gin is matured on bourbon cask and has a note of vanilla - a little more toffee like and rough, says Mattia Del Re, sommelier and restaurant chief at Hunger & Törst.
